Shipwrecked Balloons

A series of found mylar balloons that have washed ashore Rabbit Island. More resilient than their latex counterparts these can survive years and possibly even decades, enduring everything from blinding sun to crushing sheets of ice. A confluence of forces eventually brings them to Rabbit Island. The worn out balloons land where few humans have walked. They are a proxy for civilization and social celebration in a historically uncivilized and unsettled place.
